Kim Beasly is writing a series of articles about working with Virtual Teams and I have to say I’m really impressed with her approach. I got to see part of the process because she interviewed me for the series.
What is interesting is that the entire interview took place on Twitter. She used the ‘hash tag’ feature of Twitter to aggregate all of the answers into one tag, so it is easy to see the various responses she got. So Kim’s Twitter followers and the followers of everyone who responded to the interview got to see the whole thing unfold — a great way to engage and involve your audience.
She took the concept even further by including screen shots of selected responses in the body of her first post: Using Social Media to Build Your Virtual Project Management Team (part 1). So the article is about using social media to find and work with virtual resources and she used social media to write the article. Very cool. And clearly effective.
